Meet Esme!

This beautiful, domestic, little black panther was rescued from the Devore shelter along with 20 other kitties who were red listed and ready to be euthanized in a couple of days for lack of space. We realized all 20 kitties had horrible upper respiratory infections and hence quarantined and treated them for couple weeks.  They had to be quarantined in a kennel while receiving treatment and.sadly, they were already scaredy cats, but now the added time secluded and not socialized didn't help. 


We are so happy to report as of October 2023 Esme has found a foster and thriving!!

Esmeralda is a shy girl, but once she warms up to you she will never leave your side (say goodbye to going to the bathroom alone). She absolutely loves pets and attention, and she will let you know when it’s time to stop what you’re doing and give her pets. However, it is important to note that she does not really like being picked up, so it would be best to only pick her up when absolutely necessary! Currently, her favorite toys are some fake felt covered mice and of course the feather wand—she goes absolutely CRAZY for her feather wand (see attached video), it is by far her top favorite toy choice. She’s also an absolute nut for Churu, it is her favorite snack.

Overall Esmeralda is such a lovable fluffy void, from her corkscrew tail to her silly little meows, and once she gets past her initial shyness she gives her love unconditionally..."
