*Lemon & Lime are a bonded pair and must be adopted together!

Lemon & Lime are a bonded pair who came to Good Home with their four beautiful kittens (all now adopted) when their owner could no longer care for the little family due to housing issues. Now in foster care with @goodhome_stars, Lemon & Lime are ready to find their forever home!

Lemon (tabby w/ white) is a great combination of zany and cuddly. She loves to play, run around, look at you in shock, and be pet. She’s a curious cat that loves to explore and climb on top of high places. Lemon comes to you to be pet often and has no problem putting on her best “pet me” display at anytime. She loves being scratched behind her ears and on her neck and will lick you as you do so. She loves to scratch things but a vertical and horizontal scratch pad will spare the furniture.

Lime (tabby) is a cuddly lounge cat with occasional bursts of play. He loves attention and being pet, so much that if you pet Lemon, he will show up to join in on the attention. If you sit or lay down, he will often join you. He too loves to explore but doesn't seem to exhibit the same daredevil tendencies as Lemon. He will happily interrupt whatever you’re doing so he can get the attention he deserves. He also likes to scratch but scratch pads are the solution.

Lime tested positive for FeLV, which took us by surprise since Lemon & all of the kittens were negative. Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is one of the most common infectious diseases in cats. Lime's stage of infection is "regressive," meaning that his immune response eliminated the virus from his bloodstream, but couldn't completely eliminate FeLV DNA from his body. Cats with regressive infections carry FeLV DNA in their bone marrow, and although they are not infective for other cats, the virus may be reactivated at some time in the future, at which point they may begin to show clinical signs and become a source of infection for other cats.*

Caring for a FeLV+ cat is nearly identical to caring for a cat without FeLV. It only requires an owner to be mindful of health issues, help their cat maintain a healthy diet & lifestyle, and immediately consult a vet if symptoms appear. Cats with FeLV can remain asymptomatic for years but tend to have a shorter life span if the virus moves to the "progressive infection" stage. We are happy to discuss this further with Lime's adopter!
