LEAH NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Leah    Breed: Labrador Retriever mix

Approximate Age: 2-3 years old     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 38.9 lbs

Has Lived With: kids, other dogs

Currently Living at: DC boarding

Hola! I'm Leah! I'm a Lab mix, not-quite 40 lbs, and about 2-3 years old. I'm originally from Puerto Rico, but I'm now living in the DC area, looking for my new forever family! What a turn of luck! I can't believe I'm here, and I'm so excited to settle into a new home!

I'm a super-playful, energetic girl, so I will need multiple long walks every day and lots of playtime with you to stay healthy and happy. I get along well with dogs, so I hope you'll take me to the dog park a lot to make more doggie friends. Or, if you already have dogs, I'm sure I'll become friends with them right away! You've got kids? I love kids! Give me all los ninos!!

The nice people at the shelter in Puerto Rico who were taking care of me would like you to know I had been going to a Day Camp for dogs every Thursday since February, that I can walk on a leash pretty well, and that I even love going to la playa... I mean, the beach! Who doesn't love a dog who loves the beach? No one, that's who!

I don't know if I get along well with cats, yet, so I may need to be tested for that when I arrive. Additionally, I would love to go to obedience training with you so I can work on my manners and show you what an even better girl I can be!

So, whaddya say? Are you ready to share your life with a girl like me? Send in your application today!

Like most shelter dogs, Leah may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Liz K. at lizk@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
