Approximate Age: 18 months old    SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 39 lbs

Has Lived With: kids and dogs

Currently Living at: DC area foster home 

Special adoption considerations:2nd dog required. Bear has recently gone thru a lot of changes to his life in a short amount of time. As such he's a little timid and reserved. Right now he'd do best in a calm household with another dog that can help him rebuild his confidence.

Hi there! I'm Bear. And my paws just touched DC ground on Monday when my mom and I arrived from Kosovo. This is my first time being separated from my mom (Bon Bon) and right now I'm a little sad, can you bring that wag back to my tail by giving me my first own home of my very own? My foster family is really nice but it'd sure be great to have a loving home to call my own. 

I'd love to take long walks in the crisp air and see all the pretty holiday lights. And I'd love to get in some doggie obedience training to show you what a well mannered pup I can be.

So whattya say, friend, are you ready to offer a sweet guy like me my first (and hopefully only) forever home?

Like most shelter dogs, Bear may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
