Easy-going and handsome young man looking for a forever home!

CLARK NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Clark    Breed: Spaniel/hound mix

Approximate Age:  2 years old     SEX: male

Approximate Weight:  55-60 pounds

Has Lived With:  other dogs, cats

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home -- Clark needs a forever home ASAP!

Special Considerations:  Clark would do best in a home with a second dog to help show him the ropes and build confidence!

Hi! I'm Clark! I'm a 2-year-old, 51-pound hound/spaniel mix, and i was hoping Santa would bring me a home of my own for Christmas.  That didn't happen, but I'm still waiting and hoping that someone will come along for me very soon!

I've got a reputation, Humans... a reputation for being such a good, good boy! The nice people at the shelter down South said that I am an easygoing guy who loves to run play with my four-legged friends.  And though they can't be sure, they even think I might be good with kids because I'm so nice! Do you have kids? I sure would love to meet them and give them lots of kisses!! Oh, man... it makes my tail wag just thinking about it!! I can't wait to go on hikes with you, or trips to the dog park... just thinking about all those good sniffs to smell makes my nose start twitching. On the other hand, I'm also looking forward to lounging around on your couch, or on a comfy bed of my very own... or maybe even YOUR bed (when you're not looking -- hee, hee!). That sounds like bliss to me!

I met the cats in my foster home and didn't mind them...they rubbed up against my legs and I just sniffed at them.  They were pretty nice.  I also met  some kids, and some of them were loud and scary, but others were nice and gentle and I really liked them.

Since I am a pretty shy guy, I need to go to a home where there is already a resident dog(s) to help "show me the ropes" and make me feel more comfortable and confident!

Also, it's very important that you sign me up for some obedience classes, because even though I'm a sweetie with a lot of love to give, I need to practice my manners so I can show you what an even better boy I can be.

So, how 'bout it? Are you ready to have a handsome young man like me join your family? How 'bout you fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Clark may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Sheila at sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
