Pocket Panther needs forever home!
BINX NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!!
***THIS IS A COURTESY POST***
Name: Binx Breed: DSH mix
Approximate Age: 1-2 years Sex: Male
Approximate Weight: 10lbs Coloring: Black
Has Lived With: Unknown Type of Hair: Short
Currently Living at: Shelter, expected to arrive in DC January 2017
Binx was rescued from a hard life on the streets in Georgia in December 2016. This poor guy was struggling to survive all on his own, until a Good Samaritan trapped him to be neutered and to treat his head lacerations. Binx couldn’t be returned to his outdoor home because of his injuries and the risk of infection, so he was moved to a local shelter.
While this little 10-pound boy is shy after having a rough life as a baby, he loves people. He adores belly and head rubs. He can meow a lot at times as he found that was the best way to get people’s attention to feed him, but once you cuddle him he’s right at home. This strong boy has overcome so much- hunger, the cold, and injuries. He may have food, a warm shelter, and great doctors now, but he still needs a caring family to give his love to.
Unfortunately, Binx has tested positive for FIV, which is a slow virus that affects a cat's immune system over a period of years. FIV is a cat-only disease that cannot be spread to humans or other animals, and cannot be spread casually between cats (like in litterboxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing). Luckily, FIV cats most often live long, healthy and relatively normal lives with no symptoms at all.
The adoption fee for this cat is $150. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lauren at laurent@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
