Big, beautiful girl needs a home!

Currently Living at: DC foster

Special considerations: Bertha needs a home with structure, preferably no other dogs, and someone that has past experience with dogs and the patience to help her overcome her separation anxiety :)

Meet Big Bertha! Bertha is an adorable 2 year old, 90-100 lb, Great Pyrenees mix who can't WAIT to continue to grow and learn with you and your family! She is a friendly, sweet big ball of fluff and loves to cuddle up with you on the couch.

Bertha is a loving doggie in search of her forever family. She doesn't know how she ended up in a scary shelter but she's dreaming of long walks, a good brushing, trips to the park and cuddling up with you on the couch after work. Bertha also can't wait to learn new tricks and become the smartest pup on the block. 

Bertha is good with other dogs, but has some guarding tendencies towards her humans, so she needs a family willing to work with her on that. She hasn't been tested around kids or cats just yet, but please let us know and we are happy to test her!

Like most rescue pups, Bertha  will need to work on her housetraining.

She  will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
