VIDALIA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Vidalia      Breed:  lab/shepherd mix

Approximate Age:  2 years     SEX:  female

Approximate Weight:  60 lbs

Has Lived With:  dogs

Currently Living at:  an overcrowded rural shelter -- Vidalia needs a foster or forever home ASAP!!

Special adoption considerations:  n/a

Meet Vidalia!  Vidalia is around 2 years old and a happy, super-sweet girl!  Although she was abandoned through no fault of her own (with her whole litter of puppies, who have already been adopted), that doesn't seem to bother her and she has a lovely demeanor.  Vidalia is ready be your new best friend...shel can't wait to get out of the shelter and start a new, better life with someone who loves her!

Vidalia says...Hi there, everyone!  They call me Vidalia, and they say that I'm just the cutest, sweetest, most loving girl EVER!!  Do you have room in your heart and home for a pup like me??  I have a beautiful, smooth black coat with pretty white splotches on my chest.  My fur is super-soft…great for everyone to pet me (hint hint). :-)  I weigh about 60 pounds (not TOO big), which makes me a perfect size for an apartment, house or condo!!  They say I am probably some sort of lab/shepherd mix…all I know is that I'm a happy pup and I love to play, get lots of pets, and give lots of doggie kisses!

Read below for more info on Vidalia, and email sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org ASAP if you're interested in her!

Vidalia says:  I don't know why, but somehow I ended up in this scary shelter.  It's dark and really loud in here and I keep waiting for a nice person to come get me.  But each time I see someone, they walk right by and I'm still by myself. :(   Luckily, the shelter staff say I am one of their favorites, but they hope that someone will step up and adopt me very SOON so I can get out of here and to safety in a loving home!

Don't you think I would look really cute as your new Facebook cover photo, romping around in the sunshine and rolling in the grass or snow!?  And how I'd love to snuggle up by you after a long hike.  I just really want to run, play, then snuggle, nap and dream of all the adventures we'll have together.  I would just LOVE trips to the dog park and hikes in the woods -- I love to discover new things!

Vidalia is an awesome dog and makes friends with everyone she meets!  At around 2 years old, she will  need lots and lots of exercise to stay happy and healthy.

Vidalia's new person or family will need to make sure she gets lots of socialization and playtime with other dogs and people to keep up the good social skills she has already!  And like all dogs we adopt out, she'll need to go to obedience classes to build a strong bond with her people, and help her become a well behaved companion or family member.  Vidalia seems to like all the people she meets, and can't wait to wiggle her way into your heart and home.

Like most young dogs, Vidalia may need a refresher on her house training when she gets to a new home.  She will also need to go to obedience school so she can continue to be a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and e-mail it to at Sheila at sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org ASAP!
