Special adoption considerations: Snookie’s a bit shy so will require a household with another dog to help his confidence!

Meet Snookie! This cutie is an 8 month old terrier, weighing in at approximately 20 pounds. Snookie found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own and is looking for a forever family to give him the love and attention he deserves! Could it be yours?

Snookie is a lively and playful dog, so he’ll require an active family that will provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime! He will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep him happy and healthy. He would love to go on long walks and hikes, and take trips to the dog park so he can socialize with his canine friends. And of course, upon returning home, he'd love to shower his new forever family with plenty of cuddles and kisses!

Foster report: "Snookie is wonderful. He is a real person- dog; he LOVES people, all people. Last week, his handler was a little boy and Snookie loved him. He is very affectionate and loves cuddling. He is house and crate trained. He is a great sleeper in his crate and has never made a peep while inside his crate. He is very content crated. In fact he is very quiet overall and seems good at alerting us if he is thirsty, hungry or needs to go out.

He has great leash manners and does not pull at all. He was apprehensive at the dog park- We think he was a little intimidated by the bigger dogs. I think he'll grow more comfortable with exposure over time."

Snookie gets along well with other dogs, lives peacefully with cats, and so far has done well with kids at our events. Snookie is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in his doggie manners and impress his new family.

Like most shelter dogs, Snookie may need a refresher on house-training. He is likely crate trained. Snookie hopes you will want to take him home with you!
