BEATRICE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Beatrice Breed: Shepherd Mix
Approximate Age: 2 years old SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 55 lbs.
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at: DC foster
Beatrice is a sweet 2 year old Shepherd mix. She weighs about 55 lbs and, because of her age, is done growing. We don't know how this sweet girl ended up in a shelter but it hasn't dampened her spirits one bit and she can't wait to meet her forever family!
Beatrice will need exercise and playtime each day to be a happy and healthy pup. She would love to go on long walks and regular trips to the dog park. After she's tuckered out, Beatrice loves curling up for a nice nap and belly rub. She can't wait to go to obedience training with her new family so that she can bond with her people and become her very best self! She loves to play with her foster brothers and sisters and she shares her crate, her food and toys nicely.
Beatrice is good with other dogs so she'd be a great addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog. The nice folks at Lucky Dog don't know how Beatrice is with young children or cats but if you're interested, let us know and we can try to find out!
Foster Update: "Beatrice is doing great, she is SPUNKY! Always in motion, she has been playing fetch with herself by tossing the ball off the couch and chasing after it, this was after lots of running around in the yard, she has lots of energy :) she is really affectionate too, we love her!"
Like most shelter dogs, Beatrice may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Meg at megh@luckydoganimalrescue.org
