ELLA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Approximate Age: 10 months     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 30 lbs

Has Lived With:  dogs

Currently Living at: Local foster. Ella needs a furever home ASAP!

Special Adoption Considerations: Ella is a high energy dog and will do best in a home without kids. 

Meet Ella! Ella is a gorgeous 10 month old lab/border collie mix weighing in at 30 lbs who cannot WAIT to meet you! As  Ella  is still under a year she is likely to fill out a bit into a beautiful medium sized dog.

Ella is a young energetic girl who will require PLENTY of exercise and cannot wait to grow and learn with you in DC! She has no idea how she ended up in a scary shelter but she's dreaming of long walks and trips to the dog park in her future. She'd love to play with new toys, explore the neighborhood and even go to obedience classes to show off just how smart she is! She is counting down the minutes until she can meet your friends, go on trips, and cuddle up with you on the couch after a long day. 

Foster Update

Ella is a sweet, affectionate little girl who will quickly make her way into your heart. Playful and energetic, she'll be a fun addition to your pack. She loves the dog park, she's a good jogging companion, and she's learning to play fetch--she gets the ball and likes to run and jump around with it. She sits very still at the back door scanning the yard for squirrels. And at the end of a long day, she'll curl up next to you with her head or paws in your lap, a warm bundle of sleepy dog.

Ella is good with other dogs so she'd be a great addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog. At this point in time, she will do best in a family without children. We haven't had a chance to see her interact with cats yet, but if you have them let us know and we're happy to find out for you.

Like most shelter dogs, Ella may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
