BUD NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Bud    Breed: Dachshund mix

Approximate Age: 3 yrs   SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 25 lbs

Has Lived With: dogs

Currently Living at: A scary shelter in rural South Carolina. Bud can't wait to come to DC and find his forever family.

Special adoption considerations: n/a

FOSTER UPDATE: Bud is settling right in. The poor little guy is starved for attention. He hasn't left my side since we got home . He loves to kiss. As soon as we got home, he found the dog toys and started to play....he is really energetic.  I took him out for a walk and he did well on the leash.

Bud loves to play and can't wait to meet you! This handsome pup is hoping his forever family is busy looking for him! He will be arriving in the DC area soon to find his forever family. Bud is pretty excited about having a home where someone feeds him and takes him on lots of walks everyday.  A big basket of squeaky and chew toys are on his wish list, though the number one item on his list is to have someone to cuddle and love him....for forever.

Like most shelter dogs, Bud may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

Bud has tested positive and been treated for for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Emily Jagdmann at emilyj@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
