Approximate Weight: 25 lb as of 1/16/17

Has Lived With:   other dogs

Currently Living at: A scary shelter in rural South Carolina. Rosa can't wait to come to DC and meet her forever family!

Special adoption considerations:  Young puppy, frequent potty breaks and socialization needed, commitment to spay by 6 months.

Rosa is a super sweet little puppy girl who is very excited about finding her forever family! Rosa loves dogs, but has not been tested around cats or kids yet. If you have either, let us know and we can find out more! Rosa is a gentle little soul who loves to play, nap and is an amazing cuddler! As she grows she will need longer walks and lots of puppy training and socialization to help her grow into a confident young lady! 

Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Rosa is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to her young age, Rosa has not yet been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 4/1/17. We will require proof of spay.

Like most puppies, Rosa will need to work on her housetraining. She will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
