What A Gorgeous and Sweet Lady!

CRISTINA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Approximate Age: 1 year     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 77 lbs

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: A foster home in the D.C. metro area. Cristina can't wait to go home with her forever family.

Special adoption considerations: 2nd dog recommended.

Meet Cristina! Cristina has definitely had a tough time of it, but boy has her luck changed!!  This 77lb lab/hound mix girl is now one of 200 dogs recently rescued from the South Korean Dog Meat Market. Cristina has just arrived in the DC area and is now settling into her foster home. Her foster Mom says  that Cristina asks to go outside and still hasn't had any accidents in the house. Cristina is still unsure of the leash, but loves running in the backyard. She is super curious and it's awesome seeing her come out of her shell. Cristina's foster also reports that she was pleasantly surprised by how much Cristina likes people. Her first night all Cristina wanted was to be by her foster parents and have them pet her. Cristina even let her foster mom give her a bath and surprisingly enough she really enjoyed it. She is still nervous about her surroundings and gets a little scared whens she hears something new, but this morning she decided she wanted to explore the basement by herself and even walked up two steps. We believe with a patient owner she will turn out to be an amazing pet.

Cristina may need a family with another dog to help show her the ropes of family life (she LOVES all other dogs)! She will also need someone willing to give hwe some time and training so she can learn how to become all that she was meant to be.

This large lady is filled with love and she is obviously looking for someone to share it with. Because Cristina will soon be ready and happy to finally come home, for forever.

Like most shelter dogs, Cristina may need a refresher on housetraining and crate training.
