JUSTINE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!

Name: Justine    Breed: Labrador Retriever mix

Approximate Age: 2 years old     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 65-70 pounds

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: DC area foster.

Hello, DC area! My name's Justine, and I am excited to meet my "furever" family very soon! I'm a 2-year-old, 65-70 pound Labrador mix, and I cannot wait to find my new furever home... maybe with you?

I am a young girl, so I need lots of exercise and playtime. Long walks around your neighborhood and regular trips to the dog park or for hikes are just what I need to get my sniffs in and to help wear me out! On the other hand, when I do get tired, nothing sounds nicer that curling up in my own cozy bed--or maybe even on your couch, hee, hee!--for a nice nap. I can also be extremely helpful in the kitchen, and if you accidentally drop anything during your food prep, you know I'll be right on it!

I've enjoyed meeting and greeting kids at adoption events, so there's a good chance I'll love yours, but we probably should meet just to make sure! Also, I'm not quite sure how I'll do with cats, but we can find that out if you have them! I can be a *little* bit exuberant sometimes, and I sure do like to get my way, so I'll need to learn how to be a little more polite. It would be so fun if you'd sign me up for some obedience classes! I'm a very scholarly girl and want to learn how to be the gentlest young lady I can be.

So, whaddya say? Are you ready for a sweet girl like me to romp on in to your life? Fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Justine may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

Justine has tested positive and been treated for for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Liz K. at lizk@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
