Special adoption considerations: Sunshine was rescued from a meat farm in Northern Thailand. She'll need a home with an experienced adopter with lots of patience. It could take weeks or months for her to adjust to her new surroundings.

Hi there, my name is Sunshine and I'm a 40 lb., female, shepherd mix looking for my very own furever home. The nice people at Soi Rescue in Thailand saved me from a meat farm so I haven't had very much time to learn how to be a dog. I'm trying really hard, but sometimes I get nervous. I'll need an experienced adopter who is very, very patient to help me adjust to my new surroundings. It could take me a while ...

I'm a little bit shy and definitely look to other dogs for cues on what to do. Because of this, I'll need plenty of socialization and trips to the dog park. I might need to go to a home with a resident dog to help me learn the ropes, but we'll know for sure when I arrive in DC.

Sunshine will need work with housetraining and crate training as these are both new concepts for her right now.
