Approximate Weight: 80 lbs.

Has Lived With: Dogs

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Hello, I'm Pudge! I'm a big boy looking for someone to take me and call me their own. They say I'm some sort of retriever mix, weighing in at about 80lbs and that I'm somewhere between 4.5 - 5 years old. I wish I knew when my birthday was, so we could celebrate with a pupcake! Will you take me in and throw me a birthday party or an adoption day party? I loveeeee having my picture taken and would be happy to be all over your social media. I also love playing with other doggos and having dog friends. It would be great if you could take me to the dog park and give me time to run around with others.

Update from foster

He is extremely well behaved and I will treasure the time I spend with him. Pudge enjoys going for walks and is rather quiet. He pulls somewhat and is active but does not bark at other dogs when I walk him. I went walking with a neighbor, her 2 dogs and Pudge, and this went great and he is well behaved.

Pudge would be a great fit in a home with a yard, however the most important thing to share is he needs a lot of love. He is timid and a lot of noises frighten him, but I am getting him out of his shell and we are able to go at his pace. He has been doing well with house training and goes in his crate on his own. When I leave and come back he doesn't bark. I love returning and he comes out of the crate wagging his stub tail. He is truly a special, happy and calm dog.

He really does love to be doted on and loves posing for pictures/videos. Perfect to put his face up on the 'gram.

Like most shelter dogs, Pudge may need a refresher on housetraining. Pudge is likely crate trained. Pudge isn't sure yet how he likes cats or kids, but the nice people at Lucky Dog are happy to find out for you.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Meg at megh@luckydoganimalrescue.org
