Hola! I'm Trueno, a 2-year-old, 27-pound Pointer/Bassett Hound mix, and I'll be arriving alllllllll the way from Puerto Rico THIS week! Can you believe it? I am so excited, I haven't stopped smiling since I found out!

I have been living with a family here in Puerto Rico who has other dogs AND kids, so there's a good chance if you have either, I'll get along just fine with them! Ooooh! I can't wait! I might like chasing a ball for a fun game of fetch, or going to the dog park to make new friends and run around! I'm a young guy, so keeping me active would be a great way to help me burn off any extra energy. However, it can't ALL be go, go, go. I'm looking forward to a cozy bed--or maybe even your couch!--to crash on when I wear myself out. Ahhh! It sounds so great just thinking about it!

I don't know whether I get along with cats, but we can certainly find that out when I arrive. Also, I would LOVE it if you'd sign me up for some doggie obedience school, so I can learn all my basic commands, how to walk nicely on a leash, and so on. I know you can't tell just from looking at me, but I'm quite the scholarly dude!

Like most shelter dogs, Trueno may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
