PRINCESS NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

There's a reason they say good things come in small packages! For proof, just look at this little darling. Princess is a cuddly Chihuahua mix who wants nothing more than to be welcomed into a loving home. Life is tough on the streets of Puerto Rico, when you are a little dog with no one to watch over you but Princess is a survivor. Now all she wants is to be part of a loving family, whether that's one person or several. She has lots of love to go around and can't wait to share it with someone. Could that be you?

Chihuahuas are proud little dogs with a strong sense of moxie. Clever and confident, a Chihuahua will keep you entertained and on your toes. Princess will need daily exercise but walks should do just fine for this little gal. She is not a high energy type. Washington is colder than Puerto Rico so plan to have a warm sweater or coat ready for this short-haired girl.

Princess will be ideal for someone who travels and wants to bring their dog along. She can easily fit in a carrier under the seat on a plane. Apartment dwellers will be pleased to know she won't take up much room or require humongous amounts of dog food.

Like most shelter dogs, Princess may need a refresher on housetraining. She's willing to go into her crate but prefers that the door is open because, hey, who wants to be put in doggie jail? Princess does just fine with other dogs but she is a little shy around men and has not yet been tested with cats or kids.

Little Princess was bitten by some nasty ticks in Puerto Rico and tested positive for Erhlichia and Anaplasmosis. She's now on antibiotics and should be as good as new very soon.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
