KONA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Approximate Weight: 55-60 pounds

Meet  Kona ! Kona is an beautiful 2.5 year old, 55-60 lb, shepherd mix who can't WAIT to make her way up to DC! At her age, Kona is full grown, but she could stand to gain a couple extra pounds.

Kona is a sweet, happy pup who has spent most of her little life roaming the streets and now can't wait to have a warm bed to call her own. She doesn't know how she ended up on the street but she's dreaming of long walks, trips to the park and cuddling up with you on the couch after work. Though Kona is done growing and is out of the crazy puppy stages she will still love to go on runs and go to obedience class to become a well socialized and super smart dog! Shepherds are intelligent and athletic, so Kona will require daily mental and physical stimulation.

Kona  is great with other dogs so she’d be a great addition to an existing pack, or she'd be happy as an only dog to soak up all the TLC! We haven’t had a chance to see her interact with kids or cats yet, so if you have them just let us know, and we’ll do our best to find out!

Like most shelter dogs, Kona   may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
