ASHES NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Approximate Age: 14 weeks as of 2/7/17     SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 20 lbs as of 2/7/17 

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: dc foster

Special adoption considerations: Young puppy, frequent potty breaks and socialization needed, commitment to neuter, commitment to socialization classes, 2nd dog recommended not required, additional vaccinations needed.  

Meet Ashes! This 14-week-old shepherd mix boy is as sweet as can be! At about 20 pounds, he is very kind, energetic and affectionate toward everyone he meets! Although Ashes gets along well with dogs, we haven't had a chance to see him interact with kids or cats yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll find out more.

Ashes has a playful, active and curious personality and will need mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis. 

FOSTER UPDATE: Ashes is a sweet boy and enjoys cuddling and playing with his siblings and foster siblings!  He is very good with kids that are gentle with him.  Ashes is the most outgoing of the litter but is a little shy at first and needs to build his confidence as a puppy but with training and  socialization  he will be a wonderful new family member!!

Ashes is still a puppy, and he will need a committed owner to provide training and exercise to be a well-behaved dog.

Ashes is not old enough to have had all of his vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, he is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to his young age, Ashes has not been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 4/7/17!

Like most puppies, Ashes will need to work on his housetraining. Ashes will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
