FOSTER UPDATE:  Zippy spent a quiet night in the crate. She appears to be house trained, and has quickly learned, completely on her own, to go in and out of the doggie door! She is nose driven (we are working on her learning not to counter surf) and has sniffed out my yard in depth.  I suspect she'll be a cuddler! 

FOSTER UPDATE Number 2: Zippy is doing really well! She is very sweet and extremely easy! She is quickly learning how to sit on request, loves her walks, and is content to curl up on a chair and nap the afternoon away. She rolls over a lot for belly rubs and appreciates a good cuddle. She continues to sleep well in her crate through the night, and she has not had any accidents in the house. She is deferential to my dog, and as a result, they are getting along great!

Hi!  My name is Zippy!  I'm a young lady from South Carolina and I'm looking for a great new place to call home!  I'm not sure how I ended up looking for a home at 2 years old but I'm really excited about the possibilities.

I'm a young dog and out of the true puppy stage, but I could use a training, a lot of exercise, and doggie socialization.  I'm not sure how I feel about kiddos and kitties... I'm can be tested though - just ask! If you are interested in me, please fill out an application and send it to my Adoption Coordinator - she's the best! 

Like most shelter dogs, Zippy may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
