Hello humans! My name is Dallas and I am a super cute Chocolate Lab Mix puppy looking for my perfect forever family!!! I am ready to come to DC and find my furever homes!
I love to play and have lots of puppy wrestle sessions! I want to be home and be able to go rompin' around my very own yard jumpin' in piles of snow this winter. My dream would be long walks, doggy parks, peanut butter kongs and a warm bed to call all mine! The shelter says I am a typical Chocolate Chunk lab puppy -- bubbly, bouncy, playful and love my naps and cuddles!
Since I am soo young, I will be a big responsibility and take a lot of time, lookin' after and training. I am a blank slate ready to be trained and molded into your perfect pup! I will probably be good with kids and cats since I am just a puppy but I have never lived with them officially so if you have a feline friend my lucky dog friends can test me out!
I'm just a little pup so I'll need lots of looking after. I'm sorry to say that if you work 9-5 away from home you aren't a good fit for me unless you can show documentation of a multiple times a day dog walker.
So what in the name of milkbones are you waiting for....fill out the application and send it to my adoption coordinator! I am trying to wait patiently...wiggle...wiggle...wiggle!
Dallas is not old enough to have had all vaccines. It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, it is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Due to the young age, Dallas has not yet been neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 5/15/17 - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.
Like all puppies, Dallas will need to work on housetraining and will also need to go to obedience school to grow into a well-socialized dog!
The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Ali at Alip@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
