Sweet Chocolate Doggie Needs Loving Home!

***Come meet Franklin and other, great adoptable dogs this Sat. (Mar. 11) from 12 – 2 PM at the Reston Town Center (Market Street, Reston, VA)***

FRANKLIN NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Franklin    Breed:    Lab Mix

Approximate Age: About 2 years old     SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 50 pounds

Has Lived With: Other doggies at the shelter

Currently Living at: DC foster

Update from foster: Franklin did great with my 3 dogs at home. One of mine is not always very friendly but when she snarled at him, he showed no signs of aggression, basically just left her alone. He took a while to settle in, very interested in checking things out (a little counter surfing... he needs some work on his manners). He happily went into his crate to eat and sleep and slept throughout the night. He is VERY playful and affectionate, we both fell asleep while snuggled up on the couch. He's a typical goofy lab.

Franklin is a sweet, happy pup who has spent most of his little life roaming the streets and now can't wait to have a warm bed to call his own. He doesn't know how he ended up on the street but he's dreaming of long walks, trips to the park and cuddling up with you on the couch after work. Though Franklin is done growing and is out of the crazy puppy stages he will still love to go on runs and go to obedience class to become a well socialized and super smart dog! Labs are intelligent and athletic, so Franklin will require daily mental and physical stimulation.

Franklin  is great with other dogs so he’d be a great addition to an existing pack or great as an only dog! We haven’t had a chance to see him interact with kids or cats yet, so if you have them just let us know, and we’ll do our best to find out!

Like most shelter dogs, Franklin   may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
