Approximate Weight: about 45 pounds

Has Lived With: Other doggies at the shelter

Currently Living at: Shelter - will be arriving in DC soon!

Meet Stetson! Stetson is a sweet, happy pup who has spent most of his little life roaming the streets and now can't wait to have a warm bed to call his own. He doesn't know how he ended up on the street but he's dreaming of long walks, trips to the park and cuddling up with you on the couch after work. Though Stetson is likely done growing and is out of the crazy puppy stage, he will still love to go on runs and go to obedience class to become a well socialized and well behaved doggie! Shepherds are intelligent and athletic, so Stetson will require daily mental and physical stimulation.

Stetson is great with other dogs so he’d be a great addition to an existing pack or great as an only dog! We haven’t had a chance to see him interact with kids or cats yet, so if you have them just let us know, and we’ll do our best to find out! 

Like most shelter dogs, Stetson may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
