Special adoption considerations: High energy; noise may be an issue due to breed.

Attention all runners: we have just the dog you've been waiting for! Meet Callum, a young, high-energy boy in search of his forever home. A Bluetick Coonhound and Aussie Shepherd mix, Callum is perfect for an active person who wants an intelligent, loyal companion.

You can certainly take Callum on walks around the neighborhood and show off his handsome black and white coat but this dog needs more. A daily opportunity to run or attend doggie daycare will do right by this pup. Callum can also use some obedience training to become the very best dog that he can be.

Potential adopters should understand that Coonhounds are often quite vocal. They have deep melodious voices that your neighbors may not find so lovely. A scent hound, Callum will do best in a home with a securely fenced-in yard to keep him from wandering off.

Like most shelter dogs, Callum may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained. Callum gets along fine with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats or kids.
