Hi my name is Stacie.  I am a cute, lovable lab mix, and I am looking for my fur-ever home.  If you are looking for lovable, friendly dog to join your home, look no further!

I'm about 2 years old and weigh approximately 60 pounds, which means I am done growing.  I’ve been daydreaming about my new family, and I've decided I would love to go to a home with some folks that will take me on hikes, runs, and trips to the dog park to play with my canine friends. I don’t think I would be able to stop wagging my tail if I had my very own human who will give me lots of belly rubs and get me cool toys to play with. But at the end of the day, I just want someone to love, and care for me.

Stacie has successfully completed basic dog training.  She is very good at sit/stay and down/stay, wait and pose.  She forgets when something distracts her too so not really fully trained.

She will chase a laser pointer like a cat.  Loves to play tennis, If you serve, she retrieves.  She is a good runner.  She definitely does better at home when she has either run or gone to the dog park snuggle with.

The folks at the shelter say that I do really well with kids and other dogs, but no cats.

Like most shelter dogs, Stacie may need a refresher on housetraining.  She is likely crate trained.

FOSTER UPDATEL 10/24:  Stacie is a great, albeit, very big dog.  She is so interesting as she does NOT bark. she is all lab , loves all people and has boundless energy but not hyperactive at all.  Totally trained and house worthy. No whining or attempts to leave. She really needs that stretch out area. Can’t imagine her in a crate longer than a few hours if she didn’t have room to move a little.

A real cuddlier, great with the kids but has that 60 pounds that would not be good for a toddler: they can’t get enough of her fetching and like looking her in the eyes and having her lick them. You can take anything out of her mouth including food and she is good with that.  Really wants to play with other dogs but we have not been to the dog park yet.

Walking is fairly good but you are dealing with her size. You can distract her from squirrels easily with treats but have to be aware that she can have her eyes on them and may pull.

She can sit, go down and stay. She will sit and go down on a walk but not really stay.

I love this not barking, can let her out anytime day or night and not worry about the neighbors. She made a woof sound once.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Donna at donnao@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
