Hi! I'm Jonah! I'm a 3 year old, 42 lbs. Lab mix, and I'm looking for my new forever family... maybe that's with you?

At 3 years old, I am out of that puppy but still have plenty of energy! I like long walks, lounging around on the couch with you while you're watching TV or reading a good book, and keeping you company on your drives here and there! Now that Winter's here (I think), I'm looking forward to romping around in some crunchy leaves, maybe going along with you to a dog-friendly farm or hiking trail, or maybe running around in the SNOW!!!   Or maybe we will be able to go sniffing for flowers soon! I would love to do an obedience class with you, so I can learn good manners and get to do all the fun things that city dogs get to do!

I play well with my dog friends.  I am not quite sure how I feel about kids or cats, but the nice people at Lucky Dog said they can check that out for you, if you are interested in me being a part of your home!!

Like most shelter dogs, Jonah may need a refresher on housetraining.  He is likely crate trained.

Jonah has tested positive and is being treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
