Hello everyone!  I'm really excited to be here! I'm about 4 1/2 years old and a sweet girl! I'm looking for a forever family to take me on long walks so I can stay in shape and take me for play dates at the dog park. I'm a super sweet girl and am just looking for a family to call my own. Are you looking to bring a lil Chardonnay into your life?

I do well with other dogs.  I've lived with kids and do really well but am a bit timid so young kids may not be the best for me. I haven't been tested with cats yet, but if you are interested, please ask my adoption coordinator and she can help you!

Foster Update (11.18.19): Chardonnay is such a sweet girl! She is fairly low energy. She likes to play with my dogs and go for walks but when she is in the house, she is mostly relaxing in her crate or dog bed. Char has not had any accidents. She stood by the back door and looked at me when she needed to go out. She hasn’t showed any interest in chewing things that aren’t hers. She gets along really well with my 2 dogs. Char loves food but not a huge fan of kibble. She seems to be waiting for something better. We are working on it because she needs to lose a few pounds. She gives me and any person that comes in my house a full body wiggle and tail wag dance! She is a lover!

Like most shelter dogs, Chardonnay may need a refresher on housetraining. Chardonnay loves her crate.

Chardonnay tested positive for Heartworm disease and was treated for it. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online HERE.
