WHO IS THIS BEAUTIFUL LADY?  Meet Pinot, a 1 year old, female, lab mix that weighs about 35 pounds.  This southern belle would love nothing more than to come to her furever home in DC!

Pinot doesn't know how she ended up in a cold scary shelter, but is dreaming of walks, trips to the dog park and doggy daycare, and of course, cuddling up after a long day with you (and a pinot noir or maybe a pinot gris) on the couch.  She can’t wait to learn new tricks and become the smartest pup on the block - can't you see this smart lady at the top of her obedience school class?

Do you have room in your heart and home for a lovely lady like Pinot?

Pinot gets along well with other dogs, but has not been tested with kitties or kiddies!  Please let us know if you have either cats or kids, and we can test how she does when she arrives in DC.

Like most shelter dogs, Pinot may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

Pinot has tested positive for Heartworm diseased has been treated on 2/27.  Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Vicky P. at vickyp@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
