Sweet Lab Mix Needs Loving Home

Ramona has a pending adoption, please consider  adopting another one of our great pups!

Name: Ramona    Best Guess Breed: Lab mix

Best Guess Age: 3 year (as of 2/27/17)   SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 50 pounds

Has Lived With: Other doggies

Currently Living at: DC boarding facility - looking for a foster home or better yet, a forever home!

Meet  Ramona ! Ramona is an beautiful 3-4 year old, 50 lb, lab mix who can't WAIT to find her forever home! At her age, Ramona is fully grown.

Ramona is a sweet, happy pup who has spent most of her little life roaming the streets and now can't wait to have a warm bed to call her own. She doesn't know how she ended up on the street but she's dreaming of long walks, trips to the park and cuddling up with you on the couch after work. Though Ramona is done growing and is out of the crazy puppy stages she will still love to go on runs and go to obedience class to become a well socialized and super smart dog! As a life-loving lab, she will require daily mental and physical stimulation.

Ramona  is great with other dogs so she’d be a great addition to an existing pack, or she'd be happy as an only dog to soak up all the TLC! We haven’t had a chance to see her interact with kids or cats yet, so if you have them just let us know, and we’ll do our best to find out!

Like most shelter dogs, Ramona   may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

Ramona  has tested positive and has been treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Kelly R at kellyr@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
