PINK NEEDS A FUREVER HOME!!

Name:   Pink        Breed:  Retriever pointer mix

Approximately Age:  18 weeks as of 3/1

Approximately Weight:  20 lbs

Currently Living at:  dc foster

Hello, my name is Pink and I'm an 18 week old, 20 pound, female, retriever pointer mix puppy. Our momma was part of Lucky Dog's very first Spay Day in South Carolina and when volunteers brought her back to her family, my brothers and sisters and I came running out from under the house. We were just so excited and love to meet new people! Now we're in DC looking for our very own furever homes.

Our foster mom says that we are very sweet and loving. We LOVE to give kisses. We're learning to kiss nicely, but sometimes we get super excited and slobber all over your face, sorry! Especially if you sit on the ground with us. We just can't help it. We luuuuuv you! We also love to wrap our arms around you to give hugs and love to spoon with people, our foster siblings, or each other!.

Foster mom also says that she's never seen more wiggly bums in her life and it looks like our tails are going to wag right off. We're super happy all the time and can be pretty goofy, too. Foster mom says we're always good for a laugh, even when we're getting into mischief.

We love our treats and breakfast, and lunch, and dinner ... really any food will do! We're also learning that if you listen very carefully and do what your told, you get more treats and goodies. We're working on 'sit' and would love to show you how smart we are, if you have treats that is!

We're pretty energetic and love a good romp, but we also love cuddling up for a nap after we're finished playing. We get along great with our foster brothers and sisters and would do well in a home with another dog. But we're fine on our own, as long as we get some trips to the dog park. We're also very gentle with children and would probably do great in a home with human siblings, as long as we're supervised all the time because we can get really excited.

Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Due to her young age, Pink has not been spayed. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 4/28/17!

Like most puppies, Pink will need to work on her housetraining. Pink will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of transport from the shelter and routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our  Adoption Questionnaire  and email it to   Kristen at kristenn@luckydoganimalrescue.org .
