Name:  Mooseti     Breed:  retreiver mix

Approximate Age:  3 years     SEX:  male

Approximate Weight:  60 lbs

Has Lived With:  dogs

Currently Living at:  an overcrowded rural shelter -- Mooseti needs a forever home ASAP!!

Special adoption considerations:  n/a

Meet Mooseti!  Mooseti is around 3 years old and is a super-handsome, friendly guyl!  Although he was abandoned through no fault of his own that doesn't seem to bother him and he has a lovely demeanor.  Moose is ready be your new best friend...he can't wait to get out of the shelter and start a new, better life with someone who loves him!

Mooseti says...Hi there, everyone!  They call me Moose, and they say that I'm just the cutest, sweetest, most loving boy EVER!!  Do you have room in your heart and home for a pup like me??  I have a beautiful red coat with a big splash of white spots on my chest...people say I am very unique-looking!  My fur is super-soft…great for everyone to pet me (hint hint). :-)  I weigh about 60 pounds (not TOO big), which makes me a perfect size for an apartment, house or condo!!  They say I am probably some sort of retriever mix…all I know is that I'm a happy pup and I love to play, get lots of pets, and give lots of doggie kisses!

Read below for more info on Mooseti, and email sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org ASAP if you're interested in him!

Mooseti says:  I don't know why, but somehow I ended up in this scary shelter.  It's dark, cold and really loud in here and I keep waiting for a nice person to come get me.  But each time I see someone, they walk right by and I'm still by myself. :(   Luckily, the shelter staff say I am one of their favorites, but they hope that someone will step up and adopt me very SOON so I can get out of here and to safety in a loving home!

Don't you think I would look really cute as your new Facebook cover photo, romping around in the sunshine and rolling in the grass or snow!?  And how I'd love to snuggle up by you after a long hike.  I just really want to run, play, then snuggle, nap and dream of all the adventures we'll have together.  I would just LOVE trips to the dog park and hikes in the woods -- I love to discover new things!

Moose is an awesome dog and makes friends with everyone he meets!  At around 3 years old, he will  need lots and lots of exercise to stay happy and healthy.

Moose's new person or family will need to make sure he gets lots of socialization and playtime with other dogs and people to keep up the good social skills he has already!  And like all dogs we adopt out, he'll need to go to obedience classes to build a strong bond with his people, and help him become a well behaved companion or family member.  Moose seems to like all the people he meets, and can't wait to wiggle his way into your heart and home.

Like most dogs, Mooseti may need a refresher on his house training when he gets to a new home.  He will also need to go to obedience school so he can continue to be a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and e-mail it to at Sheila at sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org ASAP!
