GEORGIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Best Guess for Age: 7.5 years as of 3/2017   SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 20 lbs as of 3/2017

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: DC foster

Special adoption considerations: Georgie needs to go to a home without children and an experienced owner. She will most likely do best in a home with one person. 

Georgie is a mature lady at the age of 7.5 so she is fully grown and out of the puppy stages! She is about 20 lbs and ready to find a relaxing family to give her all the love and snuggles. 

As an adult dog, Georgie would like to go on walks and play with her humans. She has gone to doggy daycare, so doggy play dates or a sibling would be just fine. Due to some guarding of her humans Georgie needs an experienced owner and a home with no children. We do not know how she interacts with cats. 

An update from her foster: 

A few great qualities about Georgie - She does well in her crate. She asks politely to go out. She loves to go for walks, and walks well on leash. She gets along with other well-mannered dogs. She greets each morning with pure joy. She is quiet in the house, but will alert you if someone's at the door (even if you never hear them knock). She loves to go for car rides and watch the world go by. She really is very sweet and happy, it just takes her a while to warm up and feel safe enough to show her true personality.  

Like most shelter dogs, Georgie may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
