Special adoption considerations: Applicants living in apartments or condos should note that some, but not all, Beagles can be quite vocal.

We know, you've been looking at dogs online for months now but thinking I'll wait until spring. Even with February temps in the 70s you held out. Well now the worst storm of the season is over, the days are longer, and what could be better for spring than a dog named Daisy?

Daisy is a lively 1-year old female Beagle mix in search of her forever home. Sweet, loyal, and affectionate Daisy just wants some consistency in her life. Known for their friendly and gently nature Beagles love to be with their people so don't be surprised if she follows you from room to room. Like to walk all over town? Daisy's your girl! Just grab the leash and some treats and off you go.

Beagles were bred to hunt in packs so as much as Daisy will love her new family she could also use some canine companionship.  Trips to dog parks, doggie meet-up events or doggie daycare would be great fun for Daisy. Scent work would be another wonderful activity where she could make good use of that powerful Beagle nose.

At just 1-year old Daisy is still learning about the world and will benefit from attending obedience class to become the best dog that she can be. Beagles are notorious for being chowhounds so have plenty of treats on hand when you practice training with her. Those rewards go a long way!

Like most shelter dogs, Daisy may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained. Daisy gets along well with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats or kids.
