Meet Freeway! This beautiful girl came to us a few weeks ago after she was found wandering on a busy, busy street (hence the name, Freeway). She dislocated her hip and had to have surgery. And on top of it all, she tested positive for heartworms and is undergoing treatment. This darling girl is just about ready for her forever family.
"I’m a quiet girl (no bark or bite in me) who warms up quickly when meeting new people. I am content to sleep in my bed (no crate necessary), and most days you can find me lounging or snoozing. I’m a fan of my special food that keeps my pancreatitis at bay. In terms of taking care of business, I use a doggie door at my foster home. My unique gait is the result of a healed hip injury, but I get around just fine. That being said, I prefer short walks to long ones. "
