Special Adoption Considerations:While Lizzie would likely do best in a home with another dog, she could also be great as a single dog, provided her family work hard with her to overcome her shyness and work on her braves with new people. Lizzie would do best in a home with kids no younger than 13 years old.

I CAN'T STOP SMILING!! My name is Lizzie, and I'm a 10-12 month old, 40 pound Retriever mix! I cannot contain my sweet personality and loving nature any longer, so thankfully, the good people of Lucky Dog are helping me to find my very own forever home!

I am a young girl with lots of energy, so I'm looking for adopters who will take me for lots of long walks, maybe some trips to the dog park, and I might even like to play in the water or go for runs! On the other hand, once I'm all worn out, nothing sounds better than a nice lazy nap on your couch or in a sunny spot on the floor. Oooooh! My tail just starts wagging whenever I think about it!

I'm not sure how I'll do with older kids or cats, yet, but we can definitely figure that out if you have them! I also get a little bit nervous when I meet new people, but if you can work hard with me to overcome my fears, I promise no girl would be more loyal and loving than me! I also am looking forward to furthering my education in some obedience classes, so I can learn all my basic commands and show you what a smart girl I am.

Like most shelter dogs, Lizzie may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
