Special Considerations: Because Amelia is a hound, she might have a loud BAROOO bark, therefore we caution apartment dwellers for this pup!

Amazing Amelia is looking for a foster family or forever home! This sweet Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix loves adventures and can't wait to find her perfect companion. At around 30 pounds, this young pup can't wait to play and get pets. Amelia is a curious and energetic 1 1/2 year old and is looking for a family who will take her on long strolls and to obedience training to learn how to be a well-behaved adult dog.

Amelia has a playful, active and curious personality and will need mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis. We haven't had a chance to see her interact with kids or cats yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll find out more.

Like most shelter dogs, Amelia may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

Amelia has tested positive and been treated for Lyme's disease but is no longer showing signs of pain.
