3-year old 12 lb. female Chihuahua mix
LANEY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Laney Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua
Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of 4/17/17 SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 12 lbs.
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at DC foster home!
Special adoption considerations: Cannot go to a home with children under 15 due to breed.
One look at her face and you know Laney can't wait for someone to take her home. Her smile could light the darkest room and her eyes are saying, pick me, pick me!!! Think about how bright your day would be if this precious little girl greeted you each morning.
Described by the shelter as very sweet, Laney is lively and confident. Think big dog in a little dog's body. She will entertain you for hours with her antics. She isn't the dog to take for a run or a hike in the mountains but will gladly walk all over town with you. Just don't walk too fast; those little legs need to keep up with you.
People on the go will find Laney to be the perfect travel companion. She won't take up much room in a car and she's small enough to fit in a carrier under an airline seat. Of course you will frequently have to stop and talk with all those people who want to admire your adorable little dog. Looking to meet someone and need a wing-pup? Look no further than Laney!
Like most shelter dogs, Laney may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.Laney is good with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats. Due to her breed she cannot go to a home with children under the age of 15.
Laney has tested positive and will be treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament .
