Special Considerations:  Because Cooper is a little bit nervous, we recommend that he go to a home with a second dog or with a family that is able to provide daily socialization with other pups to help build my confidence.

Hi I am Cooper! ! I'm currently without a home right now and I have no idea how that happened. But no worries, the good people of Lucky Dog have selected me to come up to the DC area to look for my forever family.  I am looking forward to impressing my new humans with my smarts by going to obedience classes. I  just have recently came to DC and I am so happy to be here! The other dogs in the scary shelter have told me so many things about the outside world. I have been told about belly rubs, toys, and dog parks which all sound like so much fun.

Cooper  is good with other dogs so he’d be a great addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog! We haven’t had a chance to see him interact with kids or cats yet, so if you have them just let us know, and we’ll do our best to find out! 

Like most shelter dogs, Cooper may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
