COLIN - NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Approximate Weight: 22 llbs. 

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: an overcrowded rural shelter -- Colin needs a foster or forever home ASAP!!

Special adoption considerations:  Young puppy, frequent potty breaks and socialization needed,

Meet Colin, he is a handsome 4.5 month old lab mix, and weights approximately 22 lbs.  Colin is very playful, friendly, energetic and affectionate toward everyone he meets! 

Colin has heard a little about forever homes from some of the older dogs in the shelter. Additionally, he has heard you sometimes get your very own bed, toys to share and even some yummy treats. What he’s most looking forward to, is the cuddles, kisses and love. He just can't wait for a family or person of his own to love with his whole puppy heart! He is very excited to come to DC and find someone to love and care for him!  Are you that person?

Colin has a playful, active and curious personality and will need mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis. Although Colin gets along well with dogs, we haven't had a chance to see him interact with cats and kids yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll find out more.

Colin will need to work on his housetraining, and will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog! 

Because of a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Colin is scheduled to be neutered on 4/19/2017, and will be finished/completed his puppy vaccinations by the time he arrives in the DC area.
