Special adoption considerations:   Nixon needs to be a 2nd Dog, as he is a little shy and needs a confident dog to show him the ropes!  Would do best in a home with Kids 15 and over

Meet Nixon! Nixon is a very handsome boy looking for a new home!  Could it be yours?

Nixon is a young boy, but at around 1-2 years old he should be out of that puppy stage but still have plenty of energy to join you on daily walks (maybe even runs), go to the Dog Park or maybe fancy city things like brunch!  He would love to be part of your pack with another dog, so that his older pup brother or sister can help show him the ropes!  He is a lab, so he will need lots of exercise, as well as obedience training, but will also love to curl up and binge on your favorite shows with you!

So, far Nixon has lived with other dogs and loves them!  We haven’t had a chance to test him with cats or kids yet, but we can if needed!

Nixon, like most shelter dogs, may need a refresher on housetraining.  He is likely crate-trained

Foster Update 5/7/17

Nixon was exhausted after the event today, he snored the whole way home and has pretty much been napping all afternoon. He is still pretty jumpy but a lot better in the house. He appears to like his crate and slept through the night. We have been accident free all weekend :) He seems pretty used to being in a house, comfortable hopping on the furniture, snuggling up in the dogs beds and hoarding all the toys.
