Meet Jenny!  Jenny is around 12-14 weeks old and around 15-20 lbs of puppy love!  Although she was abandoned through no fault of her own, that doesn't seem to bother her and she has a very sweet, friendly, happy and lovely demeanor.   She'll be your BEST wiggly, kissy canine friend!  She is a huggable, kissable, adorable kind of gal :-)  Jenny loves to play...and will be an awesome addition to your life!  Playful, energetic and affectionate.  She is a definitely a staff favorite at the shelter!  Jenny is ready be your new best friend...she can't wait to get out of the shelter and start a new, better life with someone who loves her!

Jenny says...Hi there, everyone!

I really hope someone will come along to love me and give me a forever home soon!  I'm looking for someone to cuddle me close and tell me everything will be okay.  Are you that person?

I've heard a little about furever homes from some of the bigger dogs in the shelter. They sound like a dream come true!  I've heard you sometimes get your very own little bed and some toys to share and even some yummy treats. But I'm most looking forward to the cuddles and kisses and love.  I just can't wait for a family or person of our own to love with my whole puppy heart!

They say I have pretty markings on my face, and a beautiful golden coat that's super-soft…great for everyone to pet me (hint hint). :-)  I weigh about 15-20 pounds (not too big), and I will probably get to be a medium-sized dog when I grow up.  That makes me a great size for an apartment, house or condo!!  They say I am probably some sort of lab/shepherd mix…all I know is that I'm a happy pup and I love to play, get lots of pets, and give lots of doggie kisses!

Read below for more info on Jenny, and email sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org ASAP if you're interested in her!

Jenny says:  I don't know why, but somehow I ended up in this scary shelter.  It is dark and cold, and really loud in here.  I am waiting for a nice person to come get me, but each time I see someone, they would walk right by and I was still by myself. :(   Luckily, the shelter staff said I was one of their favorites, and they hope that someone will step up and adopt me very SOON so I can get out of here and to safety in a loving home!

Don't you think I would look really cute as your new Facebook cover photo, romping around in the sunshine and rolling in the cool spring grass!?  And how I'd love to snuggle up by you after a long adventure or trip to the dog park.  I just really want to run, play, then snuggle, nap and dream of all the adventures we'll have together.  I would just LOVES trips to the park and hikes in the woods -- I love to discover new things!

Jenny is an awesome little girl and although she is a little shy at first, then she loves making new human friends.  At around 12-14 weeks old, she will need lots and lots of exercise to stay happy and healthy!

Because of a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Because of her young age, Jenny has not been spayed yet.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 6/30/17.

Jenny's new person or family will need to make sure she gets lots of socialization and playtime with other dogs and people to keep up the good social skills she has already!  And like all dogs we adopt out, she'll need to go to obedience classes to build a strong bond with her people, and help her become a well behaved companion or family member.

Like most puppies, Jenny will need to work on her house training when she gets to a new home.  She will also need to go to obedience school so she can continue to be a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations.  If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and e-mail it to at Sheila at sheilam@luckydoganimalrescue.org ASAP!
