Currently Living at: scary overcrowded shelter! A foster or better yet a forever home is needed! 

Hi! I am Denny! I hear there are a lot of families in the DC area that are looking for a pup just like me!  I can't wait to come up and find my family.  I hear the families are really, nice!  I can't wait to take some obedience training so I can show you how smart I am! I also can't wait to take long walks with you and go to this thing they call dog park.  I hear it is a playground for dogs.  Did I hear play? I LOVE to play! Anyway, my Adoption Coordinator said I can't go to the dog park until at least June 10th because I have to wait until I have all my shots and they have time to work. (I will let you in on a secret...I don't like shots. Do you?) I have lots of puppy energy and can't wait to play with you!  I also have this thing called demodex that Lucky Dog is treating me for. It is a skin irritation.  I got it because I have not had a lot of good food to eat and I'm a little stressed because I am all alone and don't know exactly what is happening. It is such a big, big world! But please don't let that stop you from making me a part of your family because I promise to love you forever and ever. 

They don't know how I am with cats or kids at this time, but if you have one of them please let my Adoption Coordinator know and she can try and find out for you.

Denny is not old enough to have had all of his vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, he is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to stop by, multiple times a day.

Due to his young age, Denny has not yet been neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 15 August 2017.    

Like most puppies, Denny will need to work on his housetraining. Denny will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
