Hey, Y'all! My name's Bobby, and I'm a 1-year-old, 41-pound Black Labrador Retriever mix! I know you can't tell from looking at my face, but I'm super excited about busting out of this shelter and heading to the DC area to find my very own forever home! Woooooooo!

I'm a young boy, so I'm going to need a family that can help me get lots of exercise and make sure I stay busy and active. I sure would love some long walks around your neighborhood, trips to the local dog park, and--now that summer's nearly here--how about some trips to the lake or the beach? With all this black fur, playing in the water sounds just awesome! On the other hand, once I get worn out, some nice long naps in the air conditioning in a cozy bed of my own--or maybe on YOUR cozy bed--sounds pretty outstanding, too.

I don't know how I'll do around kids or cats, yet, but we can find that out when I get to town! Additionally, I sure would love for you to sign us up for some obedience classes so I can practice my commands and manners and show you what a polite young man I can be!

Like most shelter dogs, Bobby may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
