Currently Living at: DC Area Foster Home! Nike needs a forever family! 

Special adoption considerations: Because Nike is a baby, we require that whoever adopts this sweetie has someone home during the day or is committed to hiring a dog walker twice a day during the workday. 

Foster Update: Nike is an awesome puppy. He's very cuddly and sweet with a very chill personality- he loves to curl up in your lap. He's good with dogs and with kids based on the play dates our son had this weekend and is pretty good about sleeping through the night.

Nike is a sweet little boy who would love to find a family that could fill his days with love and attention! He currently weighs 5.1lbs but will definitely grow much more since he is a puppy. Nike is a very happy go lucky dog that loves nothing more than to please his people. Once old enough, Nike would love to find a family that will take him for runs every day, trips to the dog park, and perhaps even a few swims every week. He'll need a lot of structure and attention as a smart puppy so only those who want to spend a lot of time working and exercising with their dog should consider Nike!

Nike is not old enough to have had all of his vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, he is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to his young age, Nike has not yet been neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 10/1/17.   

Like most puppies, Nike will need to work on his housetraining. Nike will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
