Currently Living at: Shelter in SC; Kelly needs a foster - or forever home! - for when she comes to D.C.

Meet gorgeous Kelly ! This sweet 1-2 year old Labrador mix, weighing in at approximately 40 lbs., found herself at a shelter through no fault of her own. She was rescued in South Carolina and is now on her way to D.C. this weekend in the hopes of finding a loving family to give her a second shot at a happy life!

As a young and energetic dog, Kelly will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep her happy and healthy. An adopter who works full time would need to commit to having a midday dog walker for her during the week.

Kelly would benefit from frequent trips to the dog park or even doggie daycare so she can socialize with her canine friends! And of course, upon returning home, she'd love to shower her new forever family with tons of kisses and cuddles!

Although Kelly loves people and gets along well with other dogs and cats, we haven't had a chance to see her interact with kids. If you have children, let us know, and we'll do our best to find out! Kelly is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in her doggie manners and be the best dog she can be!

Like most shelter dogs, Kelly may need a refresher on house-training. She is likely crate trained.
