DAPHNE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Daphne    Best Guess for Breed: Lab-Setter mix

Best Guess for Age: 1 year     SEX:  female

Approximate Weight:  40 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living with a foster, Daphne needs a forever home.

Hello, I'm Daphne. In Greek mythology the name Daphne is associated with water. Which makes perfect sense for a Lab - Setter mix, don't you think? Just look at how often you see those dogs on the pages of outdoor catalogs doing all sorts of fun things. I'm certainly not afraid to get wet!

Daphne is a young, friendly dog with a stunning Phantom of the Opera face. At about 40 lbs. she's not a big girl but has energy to burn and will be able to hold her own with other dogs at the park. Anyone looking to adopt Daphne will need to ensure that she gets the daily exercise she needs, whether it's from running, doggie daycare, or other physical activities. Walks around the block will not be enough for this girl.

Daphne will benefit from obedience training in order to be the best dog that she can be. At just 1-year old she should enjoy learning new things and keeping her mentally stimulated is an important part of her development. Socialization with other dogs is also critical at this stage and Daphne will surely enjoy having some canine companions.

Like most shelter dogs, Daphne may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.  Daphne gets along fine with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats or kids.

Daphne is now staying with one of our fosters who had this say about her:

She played with a ton of other dogs, was great with the toddler, is SUPER affectionate. She thinks she is a lap dog and will come and cuddle with you pretty eagerly. She likes to play with other dogs but is not overwhelmingly high energy. Overall very easy going. Any parents would be lucky to have her.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
