Sweet Lady

BELLA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Bella    Best Guess for Breed: Lab Mix

Best Guess for Age: 1-2 yrs     SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 45 lbs

Has Lived With:  Other dogs

Currently Living at: A wonderful foster home in the DC metro area. Bella can't wait to find a forever family of her very own.

Meet Bella! This sweet lady is a 1-2 yr old lab mix, weighing in at approximately 45 pounds.   Bella had a rough start..she was surrendered by her owner who kept her chained up in the yard.  She is looking for a forever family to give her the love and attention he deserves! Could it be yours?

Bella is past her crazy puppy phase, but she still has plenty of energy!  She’ll require an active family that will provide her with plenty of exercise and  playtime!  She will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep her healthy.  She would love to go on long walks and hikes, and take trips to the dog park so she can socialize with her canine friends. And of course, upon returning home, she’d love to shower her new forever family with plenty of cuddles and kisses!

Although Bella gets along well with other dogs, we haven't had a chance to see her interact with kids or cats yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll do our best to find out!  Bella is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in her doggie manners and impress her new family.

Overnight foster comments:   "She is a sweet girl, she got along great with our 3 year old Labrador. She smiles a lot and loves to cuddle. Bella has a whole lot of love to give back to whomever will give some to her."

Like most shelter dogs, Bella may need a refresher on house-training. She is likely crate trained.  Bella hopes you will want to take her home with you!

Bella has tested positive and is being treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lowell N at lowelln@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.  That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament
