MARGARET NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Margaret    Best Guess for Breed: Beagle mix

Best Guess for Age: 6 years old    SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 15 to 20 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living with one of our fosters Margaret needs a forever home.

Sweet little Margaret is a natural-born heartbreaker. How could anyone resist those soulful eyes and velvety soft Beagle ears? At just under 20 lbs. this girl is the perfect size to wrap your arms around. Could you be the one to fulfill this adorable little dog's dream of finding a forever home?

Although listed as being 6-years old Margaret will be the first to tell you that age is just a number. This charming dog is young at heart and would be happy to walk and romp with you for hours. Her foster mom says she  loves to go for walks and moves at a pretty good pace for a small dog. Margaret is very friendly with everyone she meets on her walks, both human and canine.

While active outdoors Margaret is calm inside the house and enjoys a good nap after her walks. Margaret would love to sit in your lap, especially if you will give her a belly rub. If you want a dog to cuddle Margaret's the one!

According to Margaret's foster she is very quiet, especially inside the house. No loud "Aroos" from this little Beagle. Her foster considers her to be a sweetheart who just wants some peace and a little space of her own.

Margaret will need daily walks and would love some trips to the dog park so she can spend time with a few canine playmates. Like most Beagles Margaret doesn't care to fetch but puzzle games with treats will keep her entertained. Scent work classes would be wonderful for Margaret as Beagles have some of the strongest noses in the dog world. Anyone who has ever walked a Beagle knows they need plenty of opportunities to stop and smell the roses (and the grass, the sidewalk and anything else they can find).

Like most shelter dogs, Margaret could use a refresher on housetraining. Crate training will go a long way in helping the process along. Margaret gets along well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats or kids.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org.
